Joseph Farrell, LCSW

Joe owns and works as an outpatient therapist at Peninsula Child & Family Services. He holds an active state license to practice clinical social work in Virginia and served as Vice Chair for the Virginia Society for Clinical Social Work's tidewater chapter. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University and then attained his master's degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Joe worked at Hampton Roads' busiest group practice where he spent time serving clients as an outpatient therapist. Additionally, Joe has recently done on-call emergent mental health evaluations and abuse calls for Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters' emergency room in Norfolk, where he was trusted by the hospital to make complex decisions affecting Hampton Roads' children & families who, at times, found themselves in his consult at their most desperate moment.

Joe now works exclusively at Peninsula Child & Family Services where he oversees clinical and administrative operations while managing his own caseload of clients.

Amanda zuccaro, lpc

Amanda attained her masters in counseling from Rosalind Franklind University in the Chicago area and soon thereafter began working as a licensed psychotherapist treating primarily children with mood and eating disorders. She has been working in the field of mental health for many years and in various capacities, though feels as if outpatient counseling is where she does her best work. Amanda recently moved to Virginia and PCFS is lucky to benefit from her services!

Amanda has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and parents who have difficulty achieving victory over their anxiety and/or eating disorders. She has coached parents on how to support their child during the process and teach them how to return stability to their home. If you are a parent in need of education, support, or coaching to assist your child manage their anxiety, disordered eating, or behavior issues, she can help. If you’re a child who struggles with mood or behaviors, she can help!

Ciera Osborne, supervisee in social work

Ciera recently graduated Virginia Commonwealth University with a masters degree in clinical social work. She is currently working conjointly with Joseph Farrell, LCSW as a supervisee in social work where she will be overseen directly by him while providing care to clients seeking outpatient treatment at PCFS.

Ciera has experience providing therapeutic services to clients in both individual and group settings, and has worked at both hospital and outpatient therapy locales. Ciera is particularly passionate about serving children, adolescents & families, and will be working at the practice and holding a part time caseload.

Lori Graham, LPC, RPT

Lori attained her masters degree in mental health counseling from Walden University and shortly thereafter attained her status as being a registered play therapist.  She has also gone through the necessary training to be considered certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and feels she does her best work with children who have experienced emotional trauma.

Lori has extensive experience working in various roles as a licensed mental health worker though prefers outpatient counseling as it integrates many of the different skills she has refined through her career.  She is also very well versed in crisis intervention and is well connected with the various different resources that are available to families depending on need.  She’s excited to have joined the PCFS team, and her team is equally excited to have her!

Yuri Gooding, lpc

Yuri brings two masters degrees to the practice - one in addiction   counseling and another in professional counseling - as well as a license to   practice clinical counseling in the state of Virginia. Yuri has an extensive   history providing community based mental health services to the peninsula,   serving clients as a clinical supervisor of in-home services as well as by   directly servicing clients with severe mental health in their homes.      

Yuri also has specialized training and clinical experience providing substance   abuse counseling services, which he in part gained through graduate school   and in part gained through clinical work in the field. Yuri is passionate   about providing client-centered care and works particularly well with family   systems and adolescents.
